Growing & Maintenance Tips for Erica x darleyensis 'Kramer's Red'

Erica can be finicky and have very specific planting requirements. Best grown in a rich, acidic soil, with average to evenly moist conditions, and excellent drainage (no tolerance for standing water). Alkaline soil will cause chlorosis (yellowing of the foliage). Protection (burlap wrap or mulch) from drying, winter winds is recommended in an exposed location.
